Part 1 – Having The Talk: Discussions Between Parents & Their Adult Children

Bookcover-talkJoin us for the first of two Webinars on May 23th, from 12-1pm, EST.

Have you had ‘the Talk’ yet? No this is not the one that you have with your children about sex, in which you hope that you know more than they do. Instead, this talk is the necessary one that needs to occur between parents and their adult children about retirement and later life issues. It’s not an easy thing to do and is often done too late. In the first part of this 2 part webinar, Jack Tatar, author of “Having the Talk” will discuss what ‘the talk’ consists of, when to have it and how to have it. He utilizes his comprehensive and holistic approach to later life concerns to provide a roadmap and directions for navigating through sometimes difficult, yet necessary conversation. The goal is to gain not only a complete plan for living a longer and safer retirement in one’s later years, but to provide peace of mind for all family members.

A natural outcome of Jack’s comprehensive approach is the gaining of important information including the existence and contents of wills, assets, medical data, insurance, etc. In the second part of this webinar, Capturing the Talk: Creating a Life Inventory™ given on May 30, 2013, from 12-1pm EST, Carol Kaufman will explain the concept of a “Life Inventory™”, why it is so critical to have and how to create one so that it can be used to capture that important information obtained during and after Having The Talk.
